Live TV & Sport is an app that gives you access to hundreds of shows that you can watch for free anytime you want. It also gives you access to a number of live sporting events that can help you stay up to date on your favorite teams without relying on cable.

Thanks to streaming apps and services such as HBO Go and Netflix, more and more people switch from cable to online viewing each year. The top services require that you pay a monthly fee to access your favorite shows though. Live TV & Sport gives you the chance to watch live television on your computer without being a cable subscriber.

The app is easy to use because its homepage shows you different category listings. You can select any of those listings and see what free content is available right now. Though there is an emphasis on programs and channels from overseas, you'll find some American content available as well. The Kids listing shows you all content that is suitable for kids and families, while the Comedy listing lets you view sitcoms and comedy specials. There is even a Horror listing and a separate category for films.

Once you click on any listing, you'll see the entire range of programs available for your viewing pleasure. The Sports listing, for example, lets you view content relating to football and other professional sports. Not only can you view classic games airing on major networks, but you can also view real matches and events happening live.

A nice feature of this app is that it lets you switch between content. If you want to watch two events taking place at the same time, you can easily go back and forth to check on the scores and see some of the action. Unlike cable boxes that let you pause, record and rewind, this app only lets you view content. You cannot make any changes to the videos that you watch.

Live TV & Sport also gives you a search box that lets you search for a specific channel or a certain show. As soon as you enter any letters in this box, it will bring up a list of suggestions that match those letters. When you click on a certain network or station, the app will show you all the content available from that network. While Live TV & Sport really doesn't provide you with access to shows and sports that you cannot otherwise find online, it puts all that content into one convenient place.
